Well, I am having no problems with detonation at this point. I really didn't do much; my timing is stock with the stock drag setup. The only major thing I did was gap the plugs at 30. I also ordered colder plugs today, ngk zfr-7f11, two steps colder than stock. Otherwise, no issues on my part.

If your having problems with detonation colder plugs and a J&S would help.

are you using the in line pump?i think i mentioned before that thing causes peoblems.get a 255 in tank pump and if it was doing what mine and a friends of mine did it will go away.

U can always run higher octane ... or adjust your timing a bit... does the trick... but depending on the timing adjustment u can loose some power.

Well as an update to this I'm running 6 lbs now, the ngk plugs, and I still have no problems with stock timing.

with my initial turbo install... with no intercooler... at 6psi... i got a little detonation at toop end... just retarded the timing a tad and problem solved...

mark c was helping me out with the turbo set up. jp caudill, 'mark retarted his timeing to 14-and never had a ping or det.' think you should do the same-
crom and mda are right and pretty knowledgeable.
